Another over-produced album from American Idol. American Idol is good at making stars but not at producing albums. Katharine's debut album is right out of the American Idol mold. Her self-titled album does not showcase the voice that America came to appreciate on the show. Pithy pop song after pithy pop song is what you get with this album. The album does open and close well with "Love Story" and "Everywhere I Go" but lacks substance through out the rest. If you want an mediocre pop album then this album is for you. I know with Katharine's great voice that she will do well. I just hope her record label lets it shine instead of hiding it behind cheap music.
